That’s right; the Willoughby Morehouse is officially turning ONE on October 13th. For those that are not familiar, The Morehouse is a southern comfort style restaurant serving Jambalaya, Andouille Po Boy’s, and many other classic southern dishes. It has been a pretty exciting year for Jason Rice, Chef Hunter Michael Toth, and Seamus and Mcpat Coyne. Jason stated, “We were so excited to bring something new to downtown Willoughby a year ago. Over the last year, we have been overwhelmed with the continual support of our patrons and the community.”

On October 13th, from 5pm-10pm, The Morehouse will be having a celebration in light of this anniversary. They will be providing appetizers as a thank you to all the people that have supported them over the last year. Just in time for their anniversary, The Morehouse will be releasing a new menu. Plus, there will be drink specials on draft beers, house wines, and New Amsterdam cocktails.

Although they have seen great success over the last year, the team at Morehouse plans to continue to add to the experience over the next year. “This next spring we will have a full service covered patio with a fire pit and outside barbecue. Next summer is going to be awesome,” stated Jason.

It is great to see a new business in downtown Willoughby find success in the first year. The Morehouse team are very optimistic about their future in downtown Willoughby. We wish them nothing but success and hope to see everyone next Thursday night for their celebration.
